Bachelor's, Master's or PhD? Any thoughts would be helpful =] Thanks so much! -How long would it take to complete each degree mentioned? (I'm willing to put in the time)

  19. Resolved Question: Youth Criminal Record and Post-graduate studies?
  20. 31 May 2008 at 3:59pm
Hello, I've recently obtained a youth criminal record in Canada, where the record is destroyed 3 years after finishing the sentence. I will go to University next year (2008) and my probation will end in November of 2009 and thus my record will be destroyed by November 2012, it'll be my fourth year and I'll aply to med school. Do I apply to med school early in the fourth year or near the end? How will this record hurt my chances in getting into med. school or anything else? Does this record really dissapear or can people find it with the appropriate research? In terms of extra-curricular activities and volunteer work, does anyone have any ideas of how I can obtain this experience with a record over the next 4 years? Thank you for reading this and answering.

  45. Resolved Question: Twilighters... Theory about the Denalis, Jacob, and Breaki...
  46. 31 May 2008 at 2:54pm
So I read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn a few minutes ago (I bought Eclipse earlier). In the chapter, Seth tells Bella that Jacob is currently "somewhere in Northern Canada". He tells her that Jake "isn't coming home", so he's apparently going to be wandering that area for awhile. It made me think... the Denalis live somewhere up there, right? I can't remember the exact location... Alaska, perhaps? Up in that "northern" region. I'm almost positive that the Denalis and Tanya will make an appearance in Breaking Dawn. I'm theorizing that since Jacob is in the same general area as the Denalis, he will somehow end up meeting them. I'm guessing they will hurt him somehow, or kidnap him, to avenge Laurent. We know from Eclipse that they have a beef with the werewolves, so if one wandered right to them, they'd be happy... they'd take the opportunity to catch a werewolf, and they'd use it to their advantage. Am I making any sense? Does my theory make sense? Another thought-- We know Tanya had a thing for Edward... so what if they kidnap Jake, bring him to the wedding, and tell Edward and Bella they'll kill Jake if they don't put off the wedding? That would be such a great plot twist, because if they said no and Jake died, Bella would freak out. She'd never forgive Edward for letting Jacob die. But if they gave in, the wedding and transformation would be delayed. I imagine at that point the werewolves and possibly the Cullens would rush to save him. Then the Volturi would come in... Alice told them the date of the transformation, after all. So they'd come to "check" on Bella... and they'd find that she hadn't been transformed. So then the Cullens would have to fight off the Volturi too. Does that make any sense at all? I mean that way, both of the Denalis and Volturi would be dragged into the conflict... Another thing to consider-- http://hollabaloo.deviantart.com/art/Breaking-Dawn-Maybe-Blurb-86229515 This page supposedly gives two "real" paragraphs from Breaking Dawn. Assuming it's real, the Denalis fit into the second paragraph amazingly. They have ties to both the werewolves (through Laurent and Irina), and the Cullens (vampires). Grace-- Well, yeah. If Tanya was involved, she'd be doing it to hurt Bella in order to "win Edward". But she's definitely taken Irina's side on the werewolf issue, because she and her coven refused to help the Cullens in Eclipse... AAAAAAAAAH! I'm getting excited now! I'm liking this theory a LOT! It makes perfect sense to me! Shannon-- *blushes* Lol I know. I've just taken a liking to calling them the Denalis. It's shorter than "Tanya's coven". Hehe :) Tellison... To add more on to a question, you go to "edit" (next to "email) and click "add details". This is the chapter: http://www.mediafire.com/?wnzj1121mli

  48. 31 May 2008 at 2:49pm
My friend in Saudi arab last year got admission in a canadian university (for course of 2 years) and paid admission fees etc and had sufficient funds in his account to pay off ALL his studies and living costs. But when he applied, his visa was rejected with reason " after completion of your studies, certain factos may motivate you to stay in Canada". What is this? Can anyone help him out as he is genuine student with sufficient money in his account. What factors embassy see in granting visa? Well, what factors are generally speaking which make officers in embasy to reject visas. He was then married to a US citizen girl. Do you think it was a factor. But now he is divorced.

  61. Resolved Question: A Really Good Hair Salon?
  62. 31 May 2008 at 2:25pm
I want to cut my hair, but all the salons I've gone to have been scared to work with my hair. It's really long (past my waist) curly (loose waves) and REALLY thick! - making it go poofy sometimes and if too short. I want to thinnen it, and want one of those places where THEY tell ou what would look good on you and your type of hair. It can't be too too far, but I'd be willing to go SOME distance for a real good hair cut. I'd like it to be by North York. But all suggestions are welcome! :) Oh, and it's dark dark brown with reddish undertones (natural). Locations prefered: Canada - Ontario - Toronto - North York. (downtown fine).

  77. Resolved Question: Don't let the door hit ya, Susan Sarandon?
  78. 31 May 2008 at 1:35pm
SUSAN SARANDON, who appeared in three films last year and won kudos for her TV movie "Bernard and Doris," is still not a contented soul. She says if John McCain gets elected, she will move to Italy or Canada. She adds, "It's a critical time, but I have faith in the American people." Wasn't she gonna move when Bush got elected? ...and again when he got elected the second time. I wouldn't know about her acting, I don't watch her anymore. She should stick to that and drink a cup of shut the .... up. http://www.nypost.com/seven/05292008/gossip/liz/pollack_was_loved_112946.htm that's right, BRP. Better get some sippy cups. We need the three strikes your out here.

  81. Resolved Question: Is a tankless water heater viable in a colder climate?
  82. 31 May 2008 at 12:55pm
Hi there, I guess my subject line says it all. My wife and I need to replace our water heater and are looking at getting a tankless for both the enviromental and future gas savings reasons. We live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada which means we pretty much have winter 5 months out of the year and our groundwater is quite cold year around. I am concerned that the tankless unit will not provide enough of a tempeture rise from the unit to the appliance (I am not a big fan of luke warm showers). Does anyone have any experience with the tankless units? We are looking at the Bosch 2400E NG model. Is there another brand that you would reccommend? I guess I should also mention that we are a 2 person household so I do not expect 2 showers going the same time (but perhaps a shower and washer or dishwasher) Thanks for any advice you can provide. Jim
